BT Cables Limited recognises its responsibility to balance its business needs with those of the environment.

Through the involvement of our people, customers, suppliers, contractors, and other interested parties, we will continually improve our environmental performance.

In addition the environmental effects associated with the site and with the materials, design, processes, products, sale and distribution of metallic telecommunication cables will be identified and evaluated with a view to avoiding, reducing or controlling pollution and adverse environmental impact. Objectives, which are publicly available on request, will be set and targets achieved through an integrated Business Plan and by continuous improvement initiatives.

Specifically all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements will be met or surpassed by the development of environmentally sound practices and by the use of available technology.

Reduction of waste, waste disposal and the use of energy will always be subject to operational control.

Environmental training is identified and provided which ensures all employees are fully aware of their responsibilities within the environmental management system which meets or exceeds the requirements of ISO 14001:2004.
